Planning something: Can you help?
Hey all. I’m planning a fun little project that requires quite a bit of research and I’d really, really, appreciate your help.
I’m on the lookout for serious news articles, web pages, videos, mp3s/podcasts, journal articles, books, magazines, whatever related to the following: - autonomous or semi-autonomous cleaning, manufacturing, or weapon tech (e.g roomba vaccuum cleaners or US attack drones) - human/machine integration (eg people with usb ports in their arms etc) - the singularity, nanotechnology - self replicating machines - sentient AI
Basically anything that looks like it would contribute to the creation of SkyNet would be good.
I can’t really use crackpot theories or jokes, I really need genuine, actual science, the more innocent or simple sounding the better. I don’t want to announce anything just yet because I’ve only just had the idea, haven’t done enough research to figure if it’s worth it, and will probably move on to the next shiny thing that comes my way anyway. But if you know of anything, please share.
